Being illegal, even if poorly enforced, help to prevent any effort to normalize it. Homosexual acts illegal and no gay “marriage” or any of that.
As Constitutional Conservatives, we do not use law to force others to conform to what we think is right. We believe in individual freedom.
That does not mean we can’t attempt to influence society according to our beliefs. It just means we do it with ideas - not laws.
Assert your first amendment rights - your freedom of religion, your freedom of expression. Champion your beliefs and ideas in the public square and in academia - but don’t attempt to write them into law.
Because if you can use the law to enforce your beliefs - so can they.
The whole point of the Constitution was to maximize the freedom of individuals and prevent the tyranny of the majority.
