Amidst all the Morning Joe gushing today over President Biden's radical plans as laid out in his address to Congress, the most frighteningly fact-defying was that by NBC contributor and left-wing activist Heather McGhee.
McGhee twice claimed that Biden's plans are neither left nor right, but simply what is required to solve problems, saying "it takes government," "it takes collective action," government needs to "give" people various things, and Biden's intended vast expansion of government is simply "common sense.

The frightening thing is that there are many people who will fall for her seductive pitch: hey, it’s not socialism, it’s just government “giving” people what they “need.”
And McGhee has a a calm way of presenting things. Not in your face like AOC or Ilhan. Which makes her that much more insidious.
History is strewn with the wreckage of Socialism and big gov’t but idiots like Heather insist they are smarter than anyone else in the past 250 years and they will do it right. Maduro said the same thing in Venezuela not too long ago and took his country from an economic powerhouse to the poor house in less than a decade.
Heather: Take your leftist ideas and go sit in the corner and STFU.

In my youth they used something called businesses to create jobs and produce stuff and services.

Hands that turned in a ballot for Biden could do useful work.
I have often heard apologists for socialism and communism, say that these systems just weren’t implemented properly.
They say that the theories of Marx and Engels are so profound and how wonderful it would be, to structure the society and economy around socialist/communist principles.
I am left scratching my head, to think that Joe Stalin, Chairman Mao, Fidel Castro, et. al. just weren’t good enough communists.
