Video: Brilliant Ben Carson Calmly Schools Fox Business' Neil Cavuto on the “Cookie Jar” Theory

Ben Carson is a brilliant man whose interview with Neil Cavuto is a great example of slicing and dicing someone without being confrontational. The video below is from an interview Carson gave to Neil Cavuto of Fox Business. Cavuto tried his hardest but could not get a rise out of Carson, who calmly destroyed every argument Cavuto tossed his way. This was a master class in defusing jerks like Cavuto.

When Cavuto asked about the 2020 election results, Carlson brilliantly responded:

Cavuto: “There’s a strong plurality of Republicans, led by no less than Donald Trump himself, that thought the wrong person won the presidential election, that Donald Trump was robbed of that victory. Do you agree with that?”

Carlson: Well, I think it’s certainly worthy of investigation. What disturbs me is when people say you can’t even talk about that. It’s like you stole the cookies from the cookie jar and then you said, “***No one can talk about the cookie jar or even go near the cookie jar.”

That does raise your suspicion. I would like to see any credible things investigated so we can put it to rest once and for all.

***On a side note: Carson is telling the truth when he says no one can talk about the “cookie jar” because censorship is happening to anyone who tries to discuss election integrity. Articles are flagged and hidden in the newsfeed. Writers have taken to writing cryptic titles to keep their report from being suppressed.

Cavuto responded: “You don’t think there were enough investigations and enough calls to look into things that Republican and Democratic-appointed judges alike examined and, in more than three dozen cases, shot each and every one down?”

Carson: “That’s what they would like you to believe, but they didn’t really examine the evidence. There were only two cases in which the evidence was actually examined by the judicial system, and both of those are still active.”

“So, in your gut, Doctor, is Joe Biden, the legitimate president of the United States?” Cavuto asked.

Carson’s brilliant answer: “It doesn’t really matter what my gut says. What matters is, are we going to be open and fair about this and about elections in general?

The discussion begins at the 1:30 point in the video:

A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INTERVIEW FOR THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE TIME TO WATCH THE VIDEO:

Neil Cavuto asked Dr. Carson if he believed if President Trump “was robbed” of the 2020 election.

Carson agreed that Trump was robbed and said that the 2020 election is “certainly worthy of investigation”.

That wasn’t it though, Carson went on to say “what disturbs me is when people say you can’t even talk about that” and made a metaphor saying “it’s like you stole the cookies from the cookie jar and say nobody can talk about the cookie jar”.

Neil Cavuto then asked if Biden is the legitimate President of the United States and here was Carson’s response:

At the 1:15 mark, Cavuto asked Carson “In your gut, is Joe Biden the legitimate President of the United States?”.

Carson responded by saying “it doesn’t matter what my gut says what matters is are we going to be open and fair in elections”.

Dr. Carson didn’t fold like McConnell, Graham, and other Republican RINOS in the Senate who recognize Biden as “President”.

That wasn’t all, Cavuto and Carson later sparred on the topic of Hydroxychlorine.

MSN had more on the story:

“There were people telling us, you know, there are other kinds of things that work. Hydroxychloroquine. You know, you look at the Western African countries along the coast. When you go there, you know, you have to take hydroxychloroquine or other antimalarials. Interestingly enough, their instance of Covid-19 is tremendously less than ours. Is that a coincidence? I don’t think so.”(Carson)

Cavuto quickly refuted Carson’s claim on the drug — citing studies into its effectiveness.

“Medical experts have looked at that, doctor, as you know, and poo-pooed that connection,” Cavuto pushed back before trying to shift the focus back to the coronavirus vaccine.

The anchor, however, failed to deter the doctor, who later doubled down on his support of the drug.

“You just said a bunch of people have poo-pooed the hydroxychloroquine,” Carson objected. “But the evidence is there. What they haven’t done is investigated it. You know, and that’s part of the problem. And that’s why people don’t have confidence in our system.”

Carson continued to advocate for honesty, questioning if experts are “being truthful,” adding that giving people the right to choose is “what America is all about.” (But only sometimes).

“Medical experts have looked at that, doctor, as you know, and poo-pooed that connection.”

Former HUD Secretary Ben Carson pushed for the use of hydroxychloroquine in Covid-19 patients — earning some skepticism from Fox Business anchor Neil Cavuto. https://t.co/tWl0jfbjJv

There are normal IQ, Bright, Genius and Superior Intelligence IQ individuals around. Those at the upper end are rare; but imagine how frustrating it has to be, spending your day arguing with a person 30+ IQ points lower than you

Cavuto flatters himself if he thinks this was a “debate”. It was like a petulant 5 yr old arguing with a PhD.

Don't rule out Ben Carson in 2024. The man is an under appreciated national treasure.

Cavuto is ever loyal to the woke narrative, however absurd it may be. Suspect he will soon be hired by CBS.

I love Ben Carson.

He has done wonderful work at Johns Hopkins, including investigating an extremely painful issue from which I suffered miserably for several years.

He’s been treated horribly by Baltimore and Hopkins, simply because he’s a free-thinking individual who refuses to be forced into anyone else’s ‘mold’.

Ben Carson was a Brain surgeon. Cavuto is lecturing him on “ medical experts”. EEOC might get you into medical school, but it won’t get you out as a neurosurgeon.

I would vote for Doc Ben in a heartbeat!
Doughboy Cavuto is no match for Ben.
Doughboy is worthless as a commentator.

Interesting that the purveyors of wokeism always look like they found a dog turd in their hot pocket. Every last one has that unhappy scowling visage.

I held my nose and watched that and, seeing Cavuto try to play gotcha with Dr Carson, I was reminded why I have not watched one minute of Fox News since November.

Censoring or ridiculing full discussion of the Election Fraud seems ominously similar to the Spanish Inquisition.

In late 1478, the Catholic Monarchs King Ferdinand of Aragon and Queen Isabella of Castile, began the infamous Inquisition to ‘purify’ Catholicism in all their territories. The Inquisition was established to act as a tribunal to identify heretics and bring them to justice.
This was primarily a means to consolidate power and wealth for the Monarchy. Versions of this tribunal lasted until 1834.

Notice not one person who claims the election was fair and accurate ever says, “You think it was stolen?.....Well then, go ahead, look at whatever you want! In fact, we should open up every ballot and process just to prove to you that you are wrong.” They never say that. Instead, the response is always a terse, “Sit down and shut up! Nothing to see here!”

My 95 year old father who is one of our surviving WWII vets, has been a Ben Carson supporter since he first came on the scene. He’d agree with you.

I don't have to imagine that. My wife has an I.Q. of only 130.
