COKE TO REPUBLICANS: WHY CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?
Powerline ^ | APRIL 15, 2021 | PAUL MIRENGOFF

Thus, as Karen Townsend observes, Coke’s name didn’t appear on a two-page ad in yesterday’s print editions of the New York Times and Washington Post

General Motors, Netflix, Starbucks, BlackRock, Target, Facebook, Bank of America, MasterCard, and, inevitably, United Airlines were among the virtue signalers.

Here is what Coke now says about the matter:

We believe the best way to make progress now is for everyone to come together to listen, respectfully share concerns and collaborate on a path forward. We remain open to productive conversations with advocacy groups and lawmakers who may have differing views. It’s time to find common ground. In the end, we all want the same thing – free and fair elections, the cornerstone of our democracy.

A few days ago, I finished the last can of Coke we purchased before the company took sides on Georgia’s voting law. I miss the drink already, though I might finally be able to lose those last five pounds.

But, whatever it’s now saying about voting, Coke hasn’t given up on woke. As we reported here, the company is requiring that law firms representing it set aside 30 percent of billable hours on Coke matters for “diverse” attorneys, with at least half of that time going to Black attorneys. This, despite the fact that Blacks make up only about 5 percent of Americans licensed to practice law.

In other words, Coke is coercing law firms into committing race discrimination. It’s also probably forcing Black law firm associates to bill an ungodly numbers of hours and, I suspect, encouraging billing fraud.

Coca-Cola has brazenly announced that it is basing contracting decisions on race. It is thumbing its nose at the nation’s civil rights laws. There can be no common ground with Coke on this.

Take your Woke Coke and shove it up your collective Dorkbamaholes, Coca Cola.

And just in case you don’t understand, NO, we will NOT get along. Not now, not ever. And rest assured if you and your fellow Obamaholes push too far, we will remember you and give you the BLM treatment following Revolution II.

Soda does a variety of bad things to your body. Everyone would be wise to drink it infrequently. That first sip with a slice of pizza is the best.

I have found that rum and Dr. Pepper go together quite nicely.

I saw someone post somewhere that getting along with Democrats is like holding a man’s coat while he’s raping your wife.

Coke was founded by John Pemberton, a soldier in the CONFEDERATE Army apparently fighting for slavery. If they’re so damn woke they and their shareholders should liquidate all the company’s assets and give them away as REPARATIONS. Then go out of business and make sure the Coca Cola trademarks and logos are never used again. And while they’re at it they should own up to their responsibility for the obesity and type 2 “epidemics”, pushing their processed sugar laden swill, especially in “da ‘hoods”.

Coke should be treated like the cigarette companies. Obesity/Diabetes warning labels. Coke drinking areas. No ads. Law suits over deaths attributed to coke. Reparations for medical bills. Threat of bankruptcy.

“responsibility for the obesity”

I recall when smoking was disallowed in McDonalds, someone said McDonalds french fries killed a lot more people than 2nd hand smoke.

“getting along with Democrats is like holding a man’s coat while he’s raping your wife.”

Hilarious. The only way it could be truer is if the man cut your wife’s throat when he was done.

Coca Cola is killing black people every day by means of obesity and diabetes. Pass it on.

I like cola. So found a place nearby that sells RC (not a Coke or Pepsi brand). And know what? It tastes better and is less expensive!

I’ve had my last Coke product! Ever!

This is GOOD. This means that the “boycott” (is that somehow sexist terminology?) is working, and they are feeling some pain from it at Coke.

Thanks to all on our side, who have given up Coke products in the name of not being “woke”.

“Soda does a variety of bad things to your body.”

Do you mean carbonated water, or sugared, carbonated drinks?

I don’t drink sody pop for me own reasons, but I’m curious.

United Airlines is being run by idiots.
The diversity program has put unqualified men and women in control. Now, they propose to hire women and minority people to train and then fly the planes.

What could go wrong with this plan? “Hmmmm, duhhhh, ya know?”

Coke, Delta and others should form a task force to assist US Citizens and state citizens obtain IDs so they can vote, fly, obtain some off the counter drugs, etc. They could help with the process, documentation necessary and transportation rather than grandstanding. Of course, this does not meet the narrative.
