This could be just the new normal; the dems and the media are not whipping the people into a frenzy about Orange Man Bad, and the majority of Americans just don't care about what the government is doing.
Maybe at some point in the future people will care, but right now is like everybody breathing into a paper bag to regulate their breathing.
