What John Matze says about Trump and “his supporters” proves he was full of crap!
John Matze, the former CEO of Parler, said during an interview with “Axios on HBO” that he didn’t want the social-media platform to work with Donald Trump.
“I didn’t like the idea of working with Trump, because he might have bullied people inside the company to do what he wanted,” Matze said in the interview, which took place on Thursday and aired on Sunday.
“But I was worried that if we didn’t sign the deal, he might have been vengeful and told his followers to leave Parler,” Matze added.
Parler, which has very limited content moderation, became popular among Trump supporters and far-right figures following the election in November. Trump frequently complained about Twitter adding fact-check labels to his tweets, but he never made a verified Parler account.
I have a lot of mixed questions about this guy.
First time I saw this guy, he looked like a weasel - had no faith in Parler after watching him whine on TV - he is weak.

Growing pains, which can be fixed. Ideology and Bias CANNOT be fixed.
Which is itself a social media site. Just a very good one.

Social Media still has it place, I use it for my hobbies. I prefer MeWe as a replacement for Facebook.

Big Media would increase the number of “do not excerpt” sites.
However BM has set up a double standard because people can excerpt and share and comment on Twitter, Facebook, etc which are COMMERCIAL websites.
Why/how did Rebecca Mercer and Dan B not fully vet this guy?

FR couldn’t handle the traffic. It’s bad enough on election day.

Gab has been doing much better the last few days. And I find news there that never gets posted here. Some of it can’t be posted here because it will get pulled.
That is not to say the FR is not a great resource. Because FR is definitely a great resource.
