House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-IllegalHairAppointment) appeared on Sunday’s 60 Minutes to discuss a wide range of topics with Lesley Stahl, most of which had to do with painting Donald Trump as an insurrectionist and Republicans as his accomplishments. After giving Stahl a breathless, faux-emotional tour of the damage her office sustained (Pelosi was more upset about a broken mirror in her office than she was about thousands of businesses destroyed during months of BLM rioting), the two sat down to chat.
While Pelosi did her best to seem like the reasonable leader protecting the Republic from crazed animals, Stahl pushed back on some of Pelosi’s assertions – to Pelosi’s chagrin. One such topic was whether Pelosi’s tone and “obstruction” cost the Democrats seats in November. Pelosi laughably claimed that characterizations of her as someone who won’t compromise aren’t true and a “tactic” used by Republicans. Stahl then asked about the COVID relief bill, which was held up for eight months by Pelosi (she is the Speaker, after all). Pelosi first said that it was the Republicans’ obstruction, but then admitted that she held it up but that it wasn’t obstruction, because “there was no respect for our heroes,” and that “nobody expects me to support something that solidifies injustice in our country.”
Pelosi then claimed that she’d never heard a member of her caucus say that the Democrats “looked like obstructionists” when discussing the tactical mistakes that led to their shellacking in November. Given Pelosi’s ability to lie with a straight face, it’s impossible to tell if she truly doesn’t remember (she is 80 years old, after all) or whether she’s just denying reality.

No, I was a Republican long before President Donald Trump came on the scene.
Deny Americans relief for covid lockdowns by Democrats- which caused loss of Dem House seats.
Then offer that relief for Dem elections in the Ga Senate races.
Yup, just what that heartless leader of the Dem Party would do.
And what the media would praise her for - If they know what’ good for their masters.
It was held up out of concern that some might regard it as a Trump accomplishment.
We see even at the end, she is absolutely determined to use everything she can to harm the President.
It does not matter how small, who gets hurts, or how pointless, or if it fails and makes him look good.
Losing fourteen house seats and convincing up to 75 million voters our elections are hopelessly rigged is acceptable as long as Trump feels pain.
What a twisted person.

Please stop this blaming of the Dems. Mitch and the GaoP Senate also opposed covid relief. Have you forgotten already? Just two weeks ago Mitch refused allow a vote on 2k checks?
He was opposing covid relief checks for months. He didn’t want Trump re-elected any more than Nancy did.

Mitch opposed it to. He was able to camouflage that fact until two weeks ago when he had to either allow a vote on $2k checks or block it. He blocked it
Mitch never wanted Trump re-elected. He also thinks relief for Americans (unlike foreigners)!is “socialist”

Mitch also blocked the relief. Freepers were in denial about that for months - until his role became obvious two weeks ago when he couldn’t hide the fact he was directly blocking the $2k checks that Trump called for
