One does need to question the idea that media has a responsibility to inform the public truthfully. Whose idea is that? It’s not as if it is codified. In a perfect world that would be great. As far as I am concerned, the mainstream media has earned a hearty distrust from the majority of citizens, but I see no means of holding them accountable short of turning them off or ridiculing them.

I take it several steps further. A few years ago when I looked into the term “Operation Mockingbird”, I found videos and articles, some of which were cited on Wikipedia.com, detailing the network studio heads testifying to congress that the CIA had operatives in media and defended the practice.

I find allegations that they are centrally coordinated to be true throughout history, up to the present. A keyword used to attack President Trump by one agency is typically in circulation used over and over and over again by the other controlled media. That’s by design - the media would echo each others stories, appearing to provide “independent validation” to each others reportage, when it fact it came from the CIA.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mockingbird

This is why Nancy Pelosi’s perky little “wrap up smear” lesson she proudly gave on videotape; Pelosi detailed the process of leaking information to the press, and then citing the press as proof the leaks are true.

The Wiki entry is slanted to cast doubt on the existence of Operation Mockingbird, but there was no doubt in the original footage of public hearings in which studio heads made admissions they’d rather not make.

Over time, the Wikipedia entry continues to evolve, with edits geared toward protecting the media and its CIA handlers. The current wiki article ends with: “QAnon supporters, who believe a CIA program to manipulate the media still exists and that the mainstream media are responsible for spreading fake news, claim press reports they do not like are part of Operation Mockingbird.[1][9]”

All we have to do is reference the years the CIA MSM tried to unseat president Trump with endless propaganda re Russia, Ukraine, etc.

Recently, I accidentally searched for “Project” Mockingbird instead of the correct term “Operation” Mockingbird.

Wiki’s article for “Project Mockingbird” may or may not be a complete fabrication of the CIA dating to 2007. It asserts that Project Mockingbird was John F. Kennedy’s effort to spy on the media. Kennedy may have been trying to disrupt the CIA’s control of the media. The media wouldn’t like that from Kennedy, anymore than it liked his assertion that he would break the CIA into 1000 pieces.

Do we have any footage showing media entities confessing to kow-towing to CIA demands (which may not be the best way to put it, since operatives are apparently esconced in the media anyway)?

On a separate note, what do you make of the Gina Haspel silence? Before you reply, please know that curiosity on my part tends to exceed the bounds of propriety when it comes to patriotic stealth. I find it utterly distasteful to invest truth in media for the most part, especially as a means for accomplishing justice.

The original footage of public hearings. Where might we find that?
