Natalie Portman is one of the few child stars who managed to stay on a good path and transition to a successful acting career as an adult. Being sexualized by Hollywood at a tender age, however, left the Oscar-winning Best Actress with scars according to a candid chat with Dax Shepard of “Parenthood” fame.
In a new interview, the Black Swan actress reveals how coming of age in Hollywood – and coming out healthy on the other side – was far from easy for her. Natalie Portman says that being “sexualized as a child” actress by the media took a major toll on her.

But never name names.
Why does anyone care. Another victim of Hollyweird - she needs to talk to her parents about this.
She doesn’t want them to get into trouble in case they want her for a good movie.........
evil media strikes again.
Who cares? Who’d she vote for? The demented perv I’ll bet.
I guess shes not getting much attention lately. Wooden acting doesn't get you far these days.
But never name names.Because if she kills them, she'll never work in that town again.
That covers damn near everyone in California government and show business. She must be tired.
How about holding your parent(s) responsible for that? They allowed it.
The Professional was a good movie, but uncomfortable watching her part. I understand the original draft a more intimate relationship between the characters.

Gary Oldman has another great role in that one too.
Oh Padme, say it ain’t so!

That’s almost exactly what I was going to say. I liked the Professional, but I found how she was dressed unnecessary to the plot.
But for those who said, why not name names, it almost seems like she is pointing right at this time period, just look at her profile on IMDB. Born in 1981, the Professional was released in 1994, which probably means shot in 1993.

Did she bare physical scars, or does she bear emotional/psychological scars?
I know its against FR rules, but you really should read some of the article.
There are no names to name! Her parents originally protected her and then she protected herself from those leaches.
“Portman initially turned down a lead role in the coming-of-age film Anywhere but Here (1999) after learning it would involve a sex scene, but director Wayne Wang and actress Susan Sarandon (who played Portman’s mother in the film) demanded a rewrite of the script. Portman was shown a new draft, and she decided to accept the role.[13][55] Mary Elizabeth Williams of Salon called Portman’s performance “astonishing” and said that “unlike any number of actresses her age, she’s neither too maudlin nor too plucky”.[56] She received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress.[57]”
I’m sure her millions of dollars will console her guilty conscience for remaining silent and letting the abuse continue on other children.
Put up or shut up, Queen Amidala.
When I see “sexualized” used by Hollywood actresses it always means “Yes, I made a lot of money selling my looks to the highest bidder at a young age...but I wish they had loved me for my mind.” :)
