Allegations Maine Democrat Sara Gideon Covered for Male Teacher Accused of Sexual Relations with Female Students Rattle Her Campaign

Maine’s Democrat Senate candidate, Sara Gideon, is downplaying her awareness about sexual misconduct allegations leveled against a former state representative and teacher from two years ago.
Gideon, who has served as Maine’s House speaker since 2016, was reportedly aware of sexual misconduct allegations against former state Rep. Dillon Bates (D-Westbrook) but chose to conduct business as usual with Bates “for several months” until the allegations were made public in August 2018.
Gideon also at one point in June 2018 invited Bates to perform the national anthem before the state legislature, while aware of the allegations against him, according to a video released Wednesday by the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC):
In an interview Thursday on Maine Public Radio’s Maine Calling, Gideon described the knowledge she had prior to August 2018 as “nothing but a rumor.”
“There was nothing but a rumor, and so, look, at that point, we needed to see and hear from someone, and when we did, as soon as we did, I immediately asked for his resignation,” Gideon said.
Then-Rep. Bates had resigned as a theater teacher from the all-girls high school Maine Girls’ Academy in November 2017 reportedly “under suspicious circumstances,” according to an August 3, 2018, report in a Portland-based magazine formerly known as The Bollard.
With the momentum Trump has and Republican Senator Susan Collins pulling to just a single point behind Gideon with a 4.4% Margin of Error, this is very good news.

Poll: 56% Americans Say They Are Better Off Now Under Trump Than Four Years Ago Under Obama-Biden

A solid majority of 56 percent of Americans say they are better off now than they were four years ago, a new Gallup survey reveals.
Only 32 percent say they are worse off than four years ago. The number is, as Fox News’s Laura Ingraham noted on Thursday night, “the highest Gallup has ever recorded.”
Historically speaking, this bodes very well for President Trump. Right around previous presidential elections when an incumbent has been seeking reelection dating back to the mid-1980s, never has this number been this high — or even at a majority.
In 1984, Ronald Reagan won a 49 states landslide when this number was at just 44 percent.
“During his presidential campaign in 1980, Ronald Reagan asked Americans, ‘Are you better off today than you were four years ago?'” Gallup’s RJ Reinhart wrote. “Since then, this question has served as a key standard that sitting presidents running for reelection have been held to.”
Trump is 12 points ahead of Reagan’s 1984 FORTY NINE state SUPER LANDSLIDE.

Montana Poll: Steve Daines Surges Against Democrat Steve Bullock

Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) leads Montana Gov. Steve Bullock (D) in the heated Montana Senate race, according to a poll released Wednesday.
An Emerson College survey found Daines leads Bullock by nine points or 52 to 43 percent. Five percent of voters remain undecided.
Daines has expanded his lead since the last Emerson Montana poll; Daines led by six points when Emerson released the poll in August.
Emerson College conducted the poll between October 5 and 7, contacting 500 likely voters. The poll has a 4.3 percent margin of error.
This is very good news. The Senate races are the first to see honest polls. Since they are pinpointed to one state, it is much harder to get people to believe fake polls regardless of the size of the state.
Next, truthful House races across the country will appear for the same reason.
For instance, in the 11th NY, the Republican challenger leads by a small but solid margin. This is important.
The district may be in New York City but its demographics are like about 25 districts around the country.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) owes President Trump an apology.
The FBI announced on Thursday during a press conference that it thwarted a plot by a so-called “right-wing militia” to kidnap and kill Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and overthrow the state government.
Early Thursday morning, federal agencies raided a house in Hartland, Michigan and arrested six men: Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Ty Garbin, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris, and Brandon Caserta.
Whitmer immediately blamed the plot on President Trump telling the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”
“Hate groups heard the president’s words as a rallying cry, as a call to action,” Whitmer said blaming white supremacists.
It turns out Brandon Caserta, one of anarchists who was arrested for plotting to kidnap Whitmer, actually hates President Trump and is on video calling Trump a “tyrant.” “Trump is not your friend dude,” Caserta said.
He says Trump is “a tyrant” and calls President Trump an “enemy.”
If it rains today the cornered rodents would try to tell the simpletons who support them it is Trump’s fault.
