Supreme Court sides with Republicans in South Carolina dispute over mail-in ballots

Oct. 5, 2020 at 9:29 p.m. EDT The Supreme Court on Monday night agreed with South Carolina Republicans and said mail-in ballots must contain a witness’s signature, something federal courts had said should be waived because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The high court made one concession, saying ballots already sent in without a witness should be counted. Tens of thousands of ballots have been sent to voters across the state.

This is a very big victory. It sets the highest court in favor of signed witness absentee ballots. While it allows any mailed ballots not including a signed witness statement to be accepted for the next two days, after that they will be rejected. Republican lawyers will sue to kill all non- witnessed mail-in ballots and they will win.

Biden Threatens Religious Freedom, Suggests Christians With Certain Traditional Views Are 'Dregs of Society' OCT 05, 2020

Liberals often mock conservative Christians for supporting a notorious sinner and philanderer in Donald Trump, but the left has grown increasingly hostile to biblical (small-o) orthodox Christianity.

Even the ostensibly moderate Joe Biden represents an insidious threat to the religious freedom of conservative Christians. He also represents a threat to Roman Catholics, even though he is himself a practicing Catholic.

How could this be? Biden’s rhetoric and policies single out those who adhere to traditional religious beliefs and moral convictions, aiming to limit their ability to live by their consciences and ostracizing them from polite society.

Biden may outwardly campaign on a platform of unity and diversity, but his candidacy truly represents a threat to traditional religious believers.

Remember it was the Democrats who dropped the phrase “under God” from their pledge of Allegiance – proving once against, Democrats can’t even fake patriotism.

It’s Official: Senate Judiciary Committee Schedules Hearings On Amy Coney Barrett SCOTUS Nomination

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made good on his promise to schedule a formal hearing on Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court. On Monday, the Senate Judiciary Committee announced that Barrett’s hearing will begin on Monday, October 12, 2020, at 9 am.

“The Senate Committee on the Judiciary has scheduled a hearing on the nomination of the Honorable Amy Coney Barrett to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States to begin Monday, Oct. 12 at 9:00 am & continue through Thursday, Oct. 15,” the committee tweeted Monday, alongside an official statement and calendar item.

The hearing is set to last just four days before Barrett’s nomination is expected to be put to a committee vote. From there, Barrett’s nomination will go to the full Senate floor — and Republicans expect that Barrett will be confirmed by a straight party-line vote and on the court by November 1, just ahead of the presidential election.

The hearing will go on as scheduled so don’t let the media gaslight you into thinking they won’t.

Senator Cruz says Chief Justice John Roberts 'despises Donald Trump'

"I think it is personal," the Texas senator said about Justice John Roberts' motivation to turn away from the conservative movement with his court decisions Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz says Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts "despises Donald Trump," which accounts for a number of the decisions he had made from the top seat on the high court in recent years.

I have no way of knowing if Roberts hates Trump personally; but he is doing whatever he can to stop Trump from being re-elected.

Here’s why.

When Roberts was up for confirmation the left discovered he had illegally adopted two children from Ireland.

The adoptions, actually carried out in an “un-named South American Country,” were illegal because Ireland does not allow non-citizens to adopt her children.

Instead of using this as a weapon to destroy him as a felon (every time he emailed about this, a phone called or sent a document through the mail he committed the felony of Mail Fraud) the Democrats opted to confirm him as a puppet they would blackmail to get him to vote their way.

He was blackmailed into being the swing vote for gay marriage, two deciding votes to keep Obamacare, and kill the citizenship question on the census.

Barrett will mean a reliable fifth conservative judge without Roberts rendering him useless as a blackmail target.

Roberts knows the vicious Democrats might out him as a felon just to force a new Supreme Court confirmation that might bring them another David Souter. He knows Trump would do nothing to stop them.

Over the weekend, the National Latino Peace Officers Association Advocacy publicly endorsed President Donald Trump. “[They did so to recognize] his law and order approach to fighting off rioters and looters that have caused destruction and mayhem in cities across the country. This endorsement from the NLPOAA, following the debate, makes sense given that polling conducted following the debate found Trump’s support among Latino and black voters [soaring].

This very valuable endorsement further underlines Trump’s support of and from police while showing voters what professional think of Biden’s attitude toward police.
