Two Boeing E-6B Mercury aircraft, also referred to as Doomsday Planes, went off both the US coasts for a brief span of time after the news of President Donald Trump contracting COVID-19 infection was confirmed. Experts observing this defence exercise view it as a warning for the nations marked as United States adversaries.
Talk about the October Surprise that keeps on giving. Not only was the incredible news of President Trump and FLOTUS being COVID positive launched in the wee, small hours of Friday morning, something else was launched as well. Two Boing 3-6B Mercury aircraft known as Doomsday Planes for their ability to launch nuclear strikes were launched as well. And all this on the Feast of Trumpets, to boot!
As of this writing, President Trump and FLOTUS are in quarantine, all campaign events for the president on hold, and the entire world is speculating what will happen next. What will happen next? Only the Lord knows the answer to that one, but I know this. When we said that God put Donald Trump in power to bring about the global shaking, boy, was that ever true. All this and its only October 2nd, just imagine what the rest of the month will bring.
FROM YAHOO NEWS: The planes were seen in open-source satellite imagery in wee hours of Friday, shortly after the White House issued a statement that Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive. Both of them underwent the coronavirus tests after Hope Hicks, a top adviser to the US President, was confirmed to be infected with the contagious disease.
Tim Hogan, an open-source intelligence expert, took to social media to point out the link between Trump testing positive and E-6Bs flying in the airspace.

U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) issued a statement to clarify that the taking-off of planes was preplanned and not linked to Trump testing positive. The timing was coincidental, a STRATCOM spokesperson was reported as saying.
Notably, STRATCOM is in-charge of overseeing Americas nuclear arsenal. A clarification was issued by the department after experts pointed that the flying of E-6Bs is linked to a message on the nuclear front which the US wants to convey to the enemies.
The Doomsday planes have earned their tag as they are capable of sending instructions to nuclear submarines. The weapon system would only be used by the United States in wake of a catastrophic situation, successive governments have underlined.
The Boeing E-6 Mercury (formerly E-6 Hermes) is an airborne command post and communications relay based on the Boeing 707-320. The original E-6A manufactured by Boeings defense division entered service with the United States Navy in July 1989, replacing the EC-130Q. This platform, now modified to the E-6B standard, conveys instructions from the National Command Authority to fleet ballistic missile submarines (see communication with submarines), a mission known as TACAMO (Take Charge And Move Out).

Um, nobody had to. This sort of thing is normally detected on modern private satellite imagery and through air traffic control. FlightAware.com, if nothing else.

Yawn indeed - TACAMO is always up there. They were flying the C-130Q when I was at Barbers Point HI in the early 1980’s - think they also had a squadron in MD. Supposedly always 2 in the sky at all times, I know they were back then.

I’m not going thru all my Navy records to find when exactly I was in VQ-3 (in the 70’s I’m sure).
VQ-3 was in Guam at that time. We had 4 EC130-Qs in our squadron ... there was never 4 parked on the ramp anytime. One was always gone. I was an E-5, made E-6 there and was flight crew. Operated the trailing wire antenna to talk to XXXX and does anybody know long the trailing wire antenna was? 10 points and a brew if you do.
Hell, I might even throw in a Big Mack.

They both were in the air for a previously scheduled exercised. They didn’t launch after the announcement.

Looked it up out of interest and it said that it had up to 31 “long trailing wire” antennas to communicate with submarines by VLF (now VERDIN).
One line said still classified about one item-—I wonder if Sen. Diane Feinstein’s limo driver Chicom spy could fill us in. Or maybe Schiff’s barber heard him blabbing about it./s

BTW Galt, just saw the Tennessee flag on your page. I’m an old Rockwood guy. Left home for 26 years in the Navy. Got a BS degree in the Nav, Retired and made a hell of allot of money working for Lear, contracting for the AF and some friendly countries like S. Korea and Japan.
