I don’t think that he is saying that Hillary should have won, but that if the Democrats wanted to be in a position to fill thes seat, then they should have won in 2016. He often speaks in incomplete sentences, I think because he assumes that everyone understands what he is saying, and he does it to have a short answer for interviews.

No if they didn’t want Trump nominating a Supreme Court pick then the demoncraps need to appoint a non-narcist non-ego-maniacal greedy jurist who will leave when asked instead of trying to run out the clock before the sun sets. RBG had her chance, she got greedy and as 0Bummer said, elections have consequences. Demoncraps will get elected again and so will repubes. Personally, It is just a matter of when not if. Personally, I think Rubio and Yeb might run again after Trump is out of office or cannot run again. So there are two repubes lining up to run again. I am more worried about what happens after Trump than during Trump.

I believe you have misunderstood what Gowdy meant.
He was not saying that they SHOULD have won in 2016.
My take was that he was saying that the Dems should have won in 2016 if they wanted to select SCOTUS nominees.
