My veins are mostly buried. Monitoring my blood sugar I get routine blood draws. I usually get blood drawn from my hand where the veins are visible rather than them poking around in both arms only to give up and take it from my hand like I told them.
They might not have been able to find a vein. That happens to me when I become even slightly dehydrated.
Last time I was in the hospital (February) I fought like hell to not get the IV on the top of my hand because it hurts like hell to get it there, and it's painful for days afterwards.
I lost that battle and that's an IV drip mark for sure.
For some reason, the nurses always complain that my veins are hard to find, whenever the occasion arises. They try the forearm and wrist, but always settle on the back of my hand, just like you see with Biden. By now, I recognize that bruise very, very well.
