More than half the residents in one of India’s largest cities may have developed antibodies for the coronavirus, according to the results of a serological survey released this week.
The survey was carried out in Pune, a city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra with a population of 4 million. Researchers tested 1,664 participants’ blood samples for the presence of coronavirus antibodies, the proteins that the body produces in response to a coronavirus infection. They detected antibodies in 51.5% of the blood samples.
The participants hailed from five areas of Pune; in one of the areas, 65% of participants had coronavirus antibodies....

That’s either GREAT news, or a horribly inaccurate, high false-positive rate test.
Of course, I’m hoping for the former.
What we didn't do enough of was testing children.
That is what happens when a large % of your population is on antimalarials and you don’t lock down. Combo of “herd like” immunity (the weak are on antimalarials) and you let her rip through the population of healthy since for them it is sometimes as bad as a cold.
Makes me wonder how many Wuhan Flu deaths in the USA can be attributed to over-treatment and/or medical malpractice.

Yep. And many Westerners go to India and get “Dheli Belly”. Indians are exposed to a lot of germs.
Coronavirus didn’t stand a chance in that filthy polluted country. And they bring that filthy polluted culture to the US (look at any area with large numbers of Indians).
Cultural relativism we are told. We all should drink cow piss, a known cure for coronavirus in India or swim in the Shit River in Tijuana (closest equivalent to the Ganges River)

I’ve always suspected that, solely to get the associated “bonus” COVID payments, some hospitals (e.g., those in New York City) put some “COVID” patients onto ventilators prematurely or unnecessarily. And upon “dialing up” the pressure output by the ventilators damage was done to the patients possibly leading to some unnecessary deaths.
This was just a suspicion of mine, so I’m in agreement with your thinking.
False positives. Take the test ten times and see what the results are.
Well, it’s India. The culture and conditions there aren’t exactly like those of Norway.
