I’m doing a Bye-Cott.
Bye, Goodyear!
Our family has used Goodyear tires for at least 30 years.
I’ve been running “Triple-Treads” (now discontinued) on all three of our cars. I had a set on my Honda Element (sold a year ago... still miss it) that lasted 100,000 miles.
When it’s time to replace tires, I’ll look at Cooper and Michelin.
I am finished with Goodyear.
GoodYear will go the way of Gillette. Huge losses in their next fiscal year, but they will blame it on something else.
People who hold traditional American values need to stop doing business with companies that hate us. Starbucks, Nike, Old Navy, now Goodyear. They need to feel the pain folks.

Yesterday, Goodyear became the focus of a conversation that created some misconceptions about our policies and our company. Goodyear has always wholeheartedly supported both equality and law enforcement and will continue to do so. pic.twitter.com/oO6jUg2rTR— Goodyear (@goodyear) August 19, 2020
More and more, big businesses are showing their contempt for this country even though they have benefited greatly. Same with the entitled, pampered pro athletes.
Who are the Goodyear Owners/Directors? I would like to know who the CEO is that endorses this policy. Anybody know?
Based on research, I didn’t buy Good-for-a-year tires, but instead bought Goodrich M/S tires for my Jeep last year. It figures that once I was prepared for bad weather we would have a snow/rain drought.
Not just tires. We have a Goodyear Service Center near where we live that we have been using exclusively for many years. No more. So long in-fact all the people who work there know me and the wife on sight.
I called them and told them that due to their companies stated policy we will no longer be a customer for any of our three vehicles.
Good to know. I’m 70,000 miles on some OEM Hankooks, and could use some new rubber this month. Probably will go Michelin now.
Thx for posting.
Will avoid buying Goodyear tires in future.
We’re in eastern TN. Will go down the road and see what Matlock Tires has that will work for us.
Thanks for the heads up. I buy US made tires and now I’m going to avoid any woke manufacturers. I generally prefer Cooper Tires, although not all of theirs are made in the USA either. Lord I pray they don’t become woke too.
Just 20% of all tires sold in America and made here and manufacturers don’t always go out of their way to provide manufacturing data. Buying American takes leg work and dedication. For example, we need a 20” E-rated tire for my wife’s Expedition that is made in the USA. There is only one on the market...the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT.
Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yokohama Corporation of North America, Santa Ana, CA, USA.
I see this in many companies I deal with. The real managers are focused on things like sales, distribution and manufacturing, so they leave nebulous things like corporate values statements and workplace behavior training to their low IQ diversity hires in the HR department, whove been indoctrinated in the social sciences. Then they are surprised what comes out of those places.
