The commies want a struggle. They believe it is necessary to achieve their perfect commie utopia. They don’t want peace, harmony, and unity.

Exactly so.

Contrast that (from the article):

Everybody needs to relax. Somewhere along the way, we’ve forgotten how good we have it in this country. We have more freedoms than anyone in the ‘civilized’ world…in the end, people on both sides need to slow their proverbial roll. If not, it might lead us down a dangerous path; that the country we’ve all loved, for our entire lives, could be damaged beyond the point of no return.’”

The author of this quote would deny his indulgence in wishful thinking, but it is so. One cannot strategize unless one understands the options, which requires one understands the reality on the ground.

Chuck the equivalence in the quote. "People on both sides" do not need to slow their roll. We have the Right, seeking to preserve the Constitution and Rule of Law, and the Left, seeking to overthrow that order. The Left alone bears responsibility for the impasse.

We cannot choose to engage or accept the status quo, because the Left does not offer it; we can either resist or surrender.
