It is not true that they are immune, but it does seems that they don't have very mild or no symptoms. Twitter is being pedantic here.
From what I have been reading, kids do not have many on the receptors that the Whu flu need to connect with to infect cells. ACE-2 receptors. You get more as you age.
Iceland did a thorough study complete with genetic mapping. They found NO case of kid to adult transmission.
Haven’t seen any data on the % of kids that have it but since the media isn’t talking about it, you can bet it’s very low.
You can go to https://data.cdc.gov/d/vsak-wrfu/visualization and create a visualization (Bar graph) of COVID-19 deaths by age group directly from cdc data. I just did that and there has been a total of 20 COVID deaths in the 5-14 age group through August 2 in the entire u.s out of the 130k some deaths that they have age data.
