It is like “the salesclerk conundrum.”
A black comes into a store.
If the clerk immediately assists him/her it is to keep a close eye to ensure no theft and to get him/her out of the store ASAP.
If the clerk waits to assist him/her the clerk is shunning the black until absolutely necessary.
You cannot win.
You cannot win, indeed, which is why so many of us are getting increasingly hostile. I’m not playing this game, and I don’t care how anyone feels, black or white.
Same sort of thing is happening with housing.
Whites move into a black area - Gentrification! Why Are you making housing so expensive for black folks, you racist!?
White move out of a black area - White Flight, why do you hate black people, you racist!?
Another no-win case.
