I don’t follow the Wu flu news diligently...so please excuse me if I’m posing ignorant questions.
These tests, when positive, are they detecting antibodies or virus?
In other words, do tests say, you were probably exposed to the virus, because you have some level of immunity...or, you’ve been exposed, because whether or not you feel sick, you’ve got Wu flu plus some antibodies, or Wu flu with no antibodies?

My Dr. told me it only tests for active virus. I wanted a test to see if I had it earlier in the year. She said it would not tell me that.

It does not test for antibodies at all. That is a different test and not being given in these numbers. These tests are looking for active infection with the virus itself. The people testing positive are infected, whether they are symptomatic or not.
