Is the Jesuit Order recognized by the Catholic Church or is it not?

Yes. It is recognized. This pope is a Jesuit.

I went to a Catholic Jesuit college, but majored in Chemistry, so I really didn’t see all the crap that may have been going on, plus it was a long time ago. One interesting thing is Lee Harvey Oswald gave a talk to the seminarians at the college a week before the Kennedy assassination.

Jesuits are not assigned to parishes like other priestly orders. I think their order is directly under the pope.

I’ve started studying the Catholic Church now that there is a communist mother earth type in as pope, who sold out Catholics in China and now have a different opinion of the Church.

It’s not the same Church my mother believed in.
I think Francis fancies himself the NWO Pope.

Good question. My answer is, yes they are. They were then they were not then they were. They’re always in controversy and they reject important teachings of the Church. I think if the church had strong leadership it might not. It has rejected them in the past. Pope Clement banned them at one time

They rejected Humanae Vitae, but then Pope Paul, the author, relented. Bad move. The church leaders could have stuck to Jesus’ teachings and wed have some leadership in this mess.

Catholics do well be knowing the catechism

Men (people) run these institutions, and can be wrong, but the foundation is the important thing in an imperfect world. This is not heaven

The same can be said of the US. Democrats are recognized as a legitimate party but they are not in my view. They are destructive and have no regard for the foundation.

This is the Audience Hall for Popes. This 1971 statue looks plain evil to me.

Never saw it before until a few years ago.

Yes, but speaking as a lifelong Catholic I can attest that both institutions have become viciously anti-American AND anti-Catholic!
