Viral Christian Evangelists Share About Preaching in Seattle: 'CHAZ Was Fertile; People Were Receptive'
The Western Journal ^ | June 20, 2020 | Michael Austin

...Bevelyn Beatty and Edmee Chavannes went viral on Monday for preaching the word of God at Seattle’s “Capital Hill Organized Protest” or CHOP (previously known as CHAZ)...“Saturday morning we were at Planned Murderhood, Planned Parenthood, and we were trying to speak to women there. And afterward, we had come home and Edmee had said, ‘For some reason the Lord is putting Seattle in my heart.’ And so I ended up coming across a couple of videos of a pastor who had gone to CHAZ, Seattle, and got beaten up, got his phone taken and got sexually assaulted,” Beatty told The Western Journal. “So when I saw this video, I went to Edmee and said, ‘Edmee, we’ve got to go to Seattle.’ So that night we booked our flight. That morning, we were headed to Seattle.”...Upon arriving at CHOP, Beatty and Chavannes expected “people to be aggressive.” Thankfully, that didn’t turn out to be the case.

“We were there and we were able to minister to people like nobody’s business. CHAZ was fertile; people were receptive. You really could watch people’s hearts turn, giving them the gospel because, of course, we talked about politics, but Edmee and I know the word God is sharper than any double-edged sword, and when you speak the gospel, it pierces the heart. And then open the door with the policies and factual things based on America, what we’re dealing with and talk about the cause and effects of certain things,” Beatty explained....

I give these ladies a lot of credit. According to the article, they are co-founders of At The Well Ministries out of NY.

I still have a little bit of my coronavirus stimulus check left due to some donations that were rejected by payment processors. I am going to donate to them. (I am donating all my bonus away since I am fortunate to still have a job.)

We need black preachers going into the belly of the beast and challenging the mushy-headed leftist BLM and ANTIFA hangers-on. (The hardcore members are probably unreachable for the most part, but you never know.)

Black preachers are more insulated from charges of racism and people may be more receptive to listening to them.

These people show deference to any black. The ladies are confusing leftist, politically correct behavior with being receptive to their preaching.

I can believe it because those people are empty and don’t know the gospel.

Huge numbers have grown up not knowing anything about Christ’s love over the past 50 years in this country.

Anybody who has “street preached” before would probably have the same experience as me that Libs are way easier to reach and reason with than “conservatives” - regardless of their religion.

It’s the same as the guy in the suit vs. the desperate suicidal drunk. The drunk will be more open than the “normal dude”.

Of course CHOP did assault a White street preacher last week, so the race of the person going in there might matter.

Trump: "Yet today, 240 years after the Revolution, we have turned things completely upside-down." - Donald Trump

And it's not just about jobs and economic opportunity. It's about freedom, exercise of "Creator-endowed rights and liberties," and opportunity for each citizen, not just self-appointed elitists who fancy themselves as entitled to make decisions for all.

See this web site, at which Richard Frothingham's outstanding 1872 "History of the Rise of the Republic of the United States" can be read on line.

This 600+-page history traces the ideas which gave birth to the American founding. Throughout, Richard Frothingham, the historian, develops the idea that it is "the Christian idea of man" which allowed the philosophy underlying the Declaration of Independence and Constitution to become a reality--an idea which recognizes the individual and the Source of his/her "Creator"-endowed life, liberty and law.

Is there any wonder that the enemies of freedom, the so-called "progressives," do not promote such authentic histories of America? Their philosophy puts something called "the state," or "global interests" as being superior to individuals and requires a political elitist group to decide what role individuals are to play.

In other words, they must turn the Founders' ideas upside-down in order to achieve a common mediocrity for individuals and power for themselves.

Thomas Jefferson wrote to Roger Weightman on June 24, 1826:

" I should, indeed, with peculiar delight, have met and exchanged there congratulations personally with the small band, the remnant of that host of worthies, who joined with us on that day, in the bold and doubtful election we were to make for our country, between submission or the sword; and to have enjoyed with them the consolatory fact, that our fellow citizens, after half a century of experience and prosperity, continue to approve the choice we made. may it be to the world, what I believe it will be, (to some parts sooner, to others later, but finally to all,) the Signal of arousing men to burst the chains, under which monkish ignorance and superstition had persuaded them to bind themselves, and to assume the blessings & security of self-government. That form which we have substituted, restores the free right to the unbounded exercise of reason and freedom of opinion. all eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. the general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view. the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of god. these are grounds of hope for others. for ourselves, let the annual return of this day forever refresh our recollections of these rights, and an undiminished devotion to them."

Some time ago, I posted the following:

"Perhaps the so-called "progressive" enemies of freedom understand better than those who fancy themselves as "conservatives" that in order to reverse the Founders' ideas of "People over government," and institute "government over People," they must first marginalize and destroy the ideas from which liberty is derived.

The writings of America's Founders are replete with references which rebuke would-be tyrants and cite a Higher Source for life, liberty and rights. Early histories confirm those facts.

As so-called "progressives" have led a movement in forsaking the Founders' "reliance on Divine Providence," and belief that individuals are "endowed by their Creator," they also have forsaken the principles underlying America's Constitution and Declaration of Independence, and are systematically dismantling the greatest protections for liberty ever established for a people.

"Ideas have consequences"(Weaver).

The ideas of 1776 came out of a set of ideas consistent with liberty.

We tend to forget, or have never considered, that other world views existed then, as now.

Unless today's citizens rediscover the ideas of liberty existing in what Jefferson called "the American mind" of 1776, we risk going back to the "Old World" ideas which preceded the "Miracle of America."

There are those who call themselves "progressives," when, in fact, their ideas are regressive and enslaving, and as old as the history of civilization.

Wow... That headline.

I can’t decide if it’s about preaching, or if it’s about animal breeding. :P

Bring in your preacher bull-stud to inseminate their minds? (snicker)

Outstanding analysis and courageous application there.
There have been a few black ladies, Christians from Africa, who have shown tremendous courage in the face of all this hate. They have been vilified and demeaned with ugly names by many black American females. For instance Nestride Yumga

“We need black preachers going into the belly of the beast and challenging the mushy-headed leftist BLM and ANTIFA hangers-on.”

Reminds me of the success Jonah had in Nineveh, a city about which the Lord said: “…Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand…”

I hope a miracle happens in Seattle. There is still time; but not much time I'd guess.

“These people show deference to any black.”

REALLY, I am amazed, what happened to all the WHITE PRIVILEGE and the total lack of opportunity for blacks? This is so confusing, I need to get Al Sharpton to explain it again.
