Trade with China alone is bad enough. We are supporting a communist dictatorship and global pollution beyond a scale we have never seen. Nearly all the plastic in the ocean is from China dumping in their rivers.

They did this with diamonds. Coming up with the term blood or conflict diamonds. I’m not a big diamond fan so I can safely say I have no conflict diamonds as jewelry. I might have some item with some industrial type diamonds in it but nothing comes to mind right away. That said I doubt anyone can source every item they own. It would be close to an impossible task. The best I can do is avoid some companies and countries which I object to mostly for political reasons. Probably I am far from ethically perfect in my few possessions. I still sleep ok at night.
