Dan Carlin is the number 1 history podcaster on the internet. He did an episode looking at what happened in Munster in 1634 when Millenarian Anabaptists took over the city. I find it as a useful analogy to what is going on with CHAZ.

Interesting. There’s also the Paris Commune...this seems to happen every so often, when law and order has broken down for some other reason.

In this case, it was the Protestant Reformation ; in the case of the Paris Commune, it was the Franco Prussian War. In our case, it was the three month (five month, in some places) shut down and the assumption of extra-legal dictatorial powers by state governors.
