Up thread was a remark that the cops are a wee bit busy at the moment and can’t pay attention to the blog. True, I am sure.

Check tomorrow morning, you’ll probably see a flood of comments for every post. Owner’s probably reviewing and approving comments at 0-dark-30 once every 24 hours.

A couple of days back Second City Cop posted that they weren’t able to keep up with moderating the comments (most cops are working at least 12 hour days, with no days off, during the current excitement); a couple of days after that notification, previously uncommented posts started to show up with long threads of comments.

So presumably the folks running the site are a couple of days behind in moderation, and I suspect it’s likely to stay that way for a while. They do a heck of a job, by the way - the city newspapers are practically useless when it comes to anything that offends the politically- correct, so Second City Cop (along with “Hey Jackass” and “Crime in Wrigleyville and Boystown”) are where one has to go to find out what’s actually going on in the city.
