One of my white co-workers is so privileged ... he had to catch crawdads to eat at times while growing up. Was also busted stealing food. Dad was gone and Mom was broke.
I’m the grandson of a WV coal miner. However he was a bit different then most. I don’t know the details but he saved his money and opened a store. Not a mining company store his store. This all occurred during the Depression. It lasted long enough for me to be taken to it as a small child in the early 1960s. I guess “ privilege “ is being aware that all that limits you is you!
