I couldn't believe he went in front of the cameras to disagree with the commander in chief. You give your opinion in private.
He was in effect trying to subvert Trump's right to call out the military if needed. It's not up to Esper to decide when it is needed. It is the President's decision.
For 200 years, the Insurrection Act has given presidents the power to deploy the military to quell unrest

No it wasn’t taken out of context. It’s another deep state warning to Donald Trump that if he wants to continue to play President, he’d better not try to exercise the powers of his office.
Do you remember the Republican Senators warning Trump not to fire Mueller, OR ELSE? I do.
Do you remember the Republicans who had the power to remove the impeached Donald Trump warning him not to involve the Bidens in the trial? I do.
Do you remember Jim Mattis, in an act that may have violated the UCMJ, denouncing the President in a dog whistle to serving officers who may have to play a role in the next chapter of the globalist color revolution? I do.
Donald Trump has to take power or give it up. It certainly looks like he would rather resign than rule - and with the forces arrayed against him, that may well be a wise choice.
I hope and pray that you are WRONG in your assessment of the SecDef — I for one have no doubt that IF President Trump loses confidence is Mark that he WILL be replaced — and very swiftly -— for now I WANT to believe that Mark’s words were taken out of context — and if proven wrong, I will JOIN the ranks of those calling for his resignation — for now - I will take a wait and see approach -— I hope he takes to the cameras today and clears up any confusion -— I know of many who are already calling for his resignation — IF that continues it will become too much of a distraction and then he SHOULD resign —
