Today was the first show where Rush didn’t have his usual optimism with the future.

Today was the first show where Rush didn’t have his usual optimism with the future.

I did not hear the first part of his show today, but after reading the comments on this thread, I went to his web page and read the full transcript of his opening remarks. Admittedly, it's tougher to gauge the full impact of his comments without actually hearing the tone of his voice and any emotions that may have been present as he spoke. That being said, my impression is that Rush is preparing the audience for the distinct possibility that he may not be able to do his show much longer, or at the very least, not nearly as often as he does now. I realize that miracles do happen, and I hope Rush is the recipient of one of those miracles. However, as much as I would like to believe otherwise, I don't think the outlook is good.
