Anyone remember these?
They've been off market for years. My Mom cured everything from a cold to chicken pox with this stuff. We all took it. It is QUININE.. similar to the malaria drug they are testing for the Pelosi (China) Virus. Quinine is the generic form of the brand-name drug qualaquin, a medication used to treat uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria, a specific type of malaria.

Six Cold and Flu Medicines youre Not Taking Today (And for Good Reason) In History & Culture / 27 January 2015 Smithsonian Insider
There was another one. 3. Capsules of Cinnamon and Quinine
Sold around the 1900s, these tablets claimed to be for the relief and cure of influenza and colds. Cinnamons active chemical cinnamaldehyde is said to help reduce inflammation and fight bacteria and fungi, which would certainly come in handy when getting over a cold or the flu, and some people still take it today. Quinine is now used to treat malaria, as it kills the parasites living in red blood cells.
INTERESTING how quinine got banned from so many popular medicines.
"In 2006 the first "new" monopoly that was created by this FDA process was for the malaria drug quinine sulfate. This left only Mutual Pharmaceutical Company to manufacture quinine in the US (pdf). While malaria is not a disease that affects many people in the US, it is big business worldwide. Malaria causes 300 to 500 million infections and over 1 million deaths each year. Treating this disease with quinine used to cost pennies a day. In fact, the British turned this treatment into a cocktail, the gin and tonic (quinine water)." https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20110324/02181913605/fda-suddenly-bans-drugs-that-have-been-market-decades.shtml~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [snip- link for pictures.. 4 Way Cold Tablets]
Tonic concentrates have been out there for a long time.
Amazon
New formula. There is no mercury content
I’m looking forward to them being more widely available, as available as those stupid, dangerous energy drinks one can get at a gas station convenience store.
Schweppes Tonic Water.
I got some, but it has corn syrup which makes me sick, but I’ll take it if I get the virus.
My maternal grandmother extolled the amazing healing qualities of Pentro Salve . . . can’t find it any more. Very much like Vick’s salve . . . I figure they might have bought the rights and retired the competing product
I drink tonic water all the time — but diet. I love it.
I remember some stuff called Musterole salve. Wild!
My grandmother used Bromo-Seltzer for lots of “medical” issues. Is that quinine?
“Mercurochrome was no longer available when i went looking for some a few years ago.”
Really? That was good stuff!

There is quinine in tonic water.

Bromo Quinine, a cousin of Bromo seltzer used to be on the shelf.

My grandmother drank whisky for what ailed her.
After a couple of shots she was feeling no pain.... : )
Tonic water is the most available. They usually contain a lot of sugar to cut the bitterness.
FDA limits quinine to 83mg/L in tonic waters.
Although not a therapeutic dose, if you take it with a normal zinc supplement you will be accomplishing some prophylactic benefits with safety.
Like Jarts, the current stuff sold as Mercurochrome bears little resemblance to the real thing.
Years ago my Dad told me that he & everyone else took quinine when he was in the South Pacific to prevent malaria. Coincidentally, all the men in his field artillery battery that he kept in contact with went bald in the immediate years following returning home. Hmmmm.
Radiation from Little Boy.
Don’t know. Maybe the fallout clouds both drifted in their direction. Regardless, if the bombs hadn’t fallen, I probably wouldn’t be writing this.

Mediots have a severe Never Trump Moment, when President says that he has been taking hydroxychloroquine for close to 2 weeks and is still alive.
