Here Are The Republicans Who Want To Continue Spending After The US Debt Passes $25 Trillion

Over the past two months, Congress has approved some $2.4 trillion to combat the coronavirus crisis and the resulting financial fallout. Billions to bail out industries. Billions to rescue small businesses. Billions to boost unemployment assistance.

That historical amount alone is larger than the economies, or gross domestic products (GDPs), of all but six other nations. The nation’s debt now stands at $25 trillion as spending concerns have naturally taken a back seat to the recovery effort. As most of the country begins a slow return to normalcy, some Republicans, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz have begun to sound the alarm on Congress’ spending sprees. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is facing growing calls within his own conference from RINOs to increase financial assistance to state and local governments, something the GOP leader shut down during recent coronavirus relief talks with Democrats.

Support for more state aid is coming from Republican Sens. Mitt Romney (Utah), Susan Collins (Maine), Bill Cassidy (La.), John Kennedy (La.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Dan Sullivan (Alaska) and Shelley Moore Capito (W.Va.).

The boldest push has come from Cassidy, who teamed up with Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) to propose a $500 billion fund that would “make sure state and local governments can maintain essential services.” according to The Hill.

Cassidy and Menendez’s proposal is similar to provisions in House Democrats’ “Heroes Act,”

Republicans are the ones usually derided for passing tax cuts that cater to the rich according to the mainstream media. But with the passage of the HEROES Act by the House of Representatives, it’s time to point a finger at Democrats.

The Heroes act narrowly passed the House on Friday night, with support from just one Republican. Republican New York Rep. Peter King, who is retiring at the end of the year, voted for the bill, saying he was desperate to get funding for his hard-hit state. As the Daily Caller reported:

Other blue-state Republicans have also pushed back on McConnell’s opposition to a bailout for state and local governments. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, one of the few Republican governors in the country who continues to keep parts of his state shutdown, ripped the majority leader over his “blue state bailout” terminology, calling it “complete nonsense.”

Hogan co-wrote a letter with Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo last week, asking Congress to foot the bill for their budget shortfalls. Their requests included “$500 billion in fiscal support for state budgetary shortfalls resulting from the pandemic, enhanced FMAP funding to provide healthcare to our most vulnerable, and 100 percent federal cost share for FEMA response and recovery efforts.”

While RINOs are trying to destroy our economy real American and Republican Sens. Rick Scott of Florida, Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah, Mike Enzi of Wyoming, and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin wrote a letter to the White House late last month, arguing that the rest of the country shouldn’t have to pay to fulfill big spending promises in states like New York.

Let’s not forget what these RINOs support they are in the same team as the Dems.

The HEROES ACT includes harvesting mail-in votes from places like old folks homes & nursing homes & extended care homes, where it’s easy to just say sign here & I’ll fill it out for you. then bring them in at the last minute…& then, because they don’t have to be notarized signatures (also in the HEROES ACT) all of a sudden WE WON! Let’s expose these RINOs!

This monumental debt and squandered resources will depress and weaken the United States for the next one hundred years. Yet in the very short term all the spending and “free stuff” will feel very good and ensure the reelection of terrible politicians. As Ben Franklin predicted, a republic may not survive a popular democracy.

Spending money is not going to work if the factories are not open. All it will do is cause inflation.

Let’s start taking the $$ for these bills out of the personal pockets of those who find it so easy to waste the $$! Start with Pelosi! And not just cash! Liquidate their assets: homes, cars, refrigerators, EVERYTHING they got since they’ve been in office! THAT would more than cover the debt!

“make sure state and local governments can maintain essential services.”

In other words; So we can continue paying our underfunded pension plans.

We could do like the guberment did in china. They moved to Taiwan and left the communist with large bills.

I say we all move to Mexico, take them over and leave America and the 25 trillion in debts behind.

The sad fact is there are enough votes in Congress to pass Pelousy’s latest progressive wet dream act. The question becomes will Mitch fold and allow it to come up for a vote? If so will Trump sign it if the economy continues its collapse into June?

The same old back-stabbing pukes. They are the prime reasons why I do NOT send my support nor my money to the GOP.

As long as the federal government prohibits its citizens from working, it has an obligation to provide for those citizens.

They broke it, they own it.

I'm surprised to see John Kennedy on that list, given that he is one of the more conservative Republicans. A few weeks ago, he was on TV warning of an economic collapse.
