Take a look at Scott Gotliebs tweets. He has a series of data graphs this week showing US Case and death counts really starting to drop over the last 7-10 days... even looking at Worldmeter site, the 7/14 day US trends are down.
Worldmeter has a weird rollercoaster reporting, so you have to look at the numbers over time... for example...
For the last 4-5 weeks, you see US cases/Deaths/day peak on Tue/Wed of each week. Then they go down through Sunday, and start back up again. One thing I have been doing is comparing today (Thur) to last Thur. and so on... you can begin to see the weekly drops...
And on Sunday, the US only had 750 deaths... lowest daily death count in 2 months. Today it is back up, but still lower than 7 days ago.
Louisiana cases, hospitalizations, vents & deaths all down by major amount.
Because the state keeps adding testing sites, there was a data dump from 3 private labs that added cases from weeks ago. So that skewed our numbers.
At least our governor highlighted that & explained it. He didn’t try to panic people.
