Dr. Fauci Is Wrong Again: Coronavirus Cases Drop to New Lows After Georgia Opens the State and Lifts Lockdown Orders -UPDATE

In late April Dr. Tony Fauci made it clear he opposed the decision by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp to lift the lockdown orders in his state. “If I were advising the governor, I would tell him he should be careful. Going ahead and leapfrogging into phases where you should not be … I would advise him not to do that.”

But Dr. Fauci was wrong again. In fact, it starting to look like this guy is NEVER right about anything? It must be nice having a government job and not have to worry about getting fired!

Fauci and the critics were all wrong. Today Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced on Saturday the lowest number of COVID-19 positive patients currently hospitalized statewide (1,203) since hospitals began reporting this data on April 8th and the lowest total of ventilators in use.

Today marks the lowest number of COVID-19 positive patients currently hospitalized statewide (1,203) since hospitals began reporting this data on April 8th.

Today also marks the lowest total of ventilators in use (897 with 1,945 available).

This is interesting. The Georgia National Guard was disinfecting nursing homes 5 weeks ago. What a brilliant plan and it appeared to have made a difference.

Brian Kemp showed true grit and true leadership . The media literally crucified him when he reopened Georgia. The WaPo even had a headline that went effectively said, "Georgia, was the place people go to die". He never wavered.

"Georgia, was the place people go to die"

All those nursing homes Benito Coomo sent those old people to die in are in Georgia? That's weird.

Fauci should leapfrog into retirement.

Wait 21 days after he opened things up. Then see what happens. Another thing is that the virus may be weakening.

The most tedious phrase there is, is “Experts Say”.
The “Experts” are so wrong so often it is uncanny. Their streaks of incorrect forecasts defy the Law of Averages.
So, this tells me that there is an Agenda behind their forecasts. Not science.

Is this really a surprise?

Maskless people were going to beaches in FL & protests everywhere weeks ago, yet if gathering had caused new outbreaks Big Media would be screaming about it by now. Instead, nothing except more Trump-bashing.

BTW “weeks ago” is more than enough time for the virus to innoculate, as some like point out ...

Yes some people should still take extra caution, but for most, this isn’t as bad as Big Media portrays it

RE: Another thing is that the virus may be weakening.

That’s what happened to SARS-COV-1. Let’s hope it’s the same with SARS-COV-2 ( the current one ).

Yesss! I was sorry that Trump attacked him though.

Our FL Gov De Santis has been pretty good, but he got freaked out by the media. As Trump did, he handed it off to a lower level, which resulted in some of the Dem counties becoming mini versions of the Dem governors’s States.

The good guys have got to stand up and fight back.

The incubation period for COVID-19, which is the time between exposure to the virus (becoming infected) and symptom onset, is on average 5-6 days, however can be up to 14 days.
It’s already past that 14 days.

Everyone glorified by the left is an underachiever who supports a cause.

Idiots elevate and deify mediocrities like Obamalamadingdong, Krugman, Fauci, and various Pullet-Surprise winners who write to give orgasms to the Climate Cretins and their ilk.

I agree with most posters here - the numbers are encouraging but it's a little early to pop the champagne.

While we're guessing what caused the low numbers, how about warm weather and sunshine? Got to enjoy some today out my way, felt good.

“....but it’s Way too soon to celebrate.”

Not too soon at all!

I’m celebrating what Governor Kemp did right NOW.

He stood up for the rights of the individual vs. an overreaching central government. Good for him - that is America’ s strength; individual freedom -empowering the individual ALWAYS works - every time - and consensus bureaucratic group-think NEVER works.
