I remember in the days of Trump vs. Cruz, Rush had a caller on who greatly lamented that our country finally had a true Constitutionalist in Cruz, but so many were blinded into believing Trump was the right choice. The caller said many of those supporting Trump had wanted a true Conservative and they were not supporting that man (Cruz).

Rush said, ‘I know, I know, but you will never convince a Trump supporter they are wrong, despite you reminding them of these things.’ He also said that day he wouldn’t come out for either side because that would only get him in trouble, however, he’d said that before this call, as well.

Wrong. Rush was never anti-Trump. Rush NEVER advocates for any candidate during the Republican primaries. He maintains a neutral position stating his opinion on the Republican candidate’s strengths and weaknesses as he sees them. He has stated this clearly. Every Presidential Election Cycle.
He also stated after Trump won the Primary that he knew Trump would win from the moment Trump gave his interview after coming down the elevator and addressing the media.
Anyone who LISTENS to Limbaugh on a regular basis would know this because Rush has stated this many many times.

I remember Rush as more pro cruise than anti Trump, a very subjective call.       It's true Rush denied favoritism and he sure did a better job than I would have.

not to hijack, but I was a Mike Gallager regular. he seemed vaguely anti trump until one day he did a poll which was huge trump.     he's been the most pro-Trump I've heard ever since.
