Sorry, Rush was clearly biased against Trump when Trump was winning big during the primaries. Many of us had to turn it off. Go back to the show threads. Stop the revisionist history.

As Rush says it’s not just what you report its what you don’t. Rush was still pushing Cruz. I remember one time when Trump won a huge primary - sever states. Then the next day Rush started the show talking about golf and Chris Rock. Then the show was over and he never even mentioned Trump’s primary win. Everyone here was talking about how Rush was being biased back then.
I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree. You apparently discount their years of friendship, years of playing golf together and, discount Rush’s own statements after Trump won the primary race to arrive at your opinion. That’s fine. You’re entitled to your opinion.
Limbaugh’s opinions on what he perceived could be Trump’s weaknesses with the electorate were his honest concerns. You could not blame him considering the Republican history with candidates like Dole, McCain, Romney, and Bush. Donald Trump was so outside the mainstream of traditional Republican politics he wondered aloud how the traditional Republican electorate would react to Trump.
That said, he also said he thought Trump could re-ignite the Reagan coalition whereby Trump could bring back to the party Democrats that would never vote for the previously named Republicans.
And, Trump did just that. In a big way. He shattered the Blue Wall Hellery and the dems were counting on to stop Trump. Just as Reagan did.
Nuance. Rush has never endorsed anyone.
My problem with your post is you blast Levin for being anti-Trump in 2016, and claim Rush got it right from the start. No, he didn’t. Go back to the show threads in March 2016. Rush being at least impartial to Trump is an insult to everyone’s intelligence. He would laugh at pro-Trump callers. He would cut them off. He would report bad news on Trump, and not report the good news. He would pimp for Cruz. Rush had become an absolute idiot in 2016 and a waste of talent. He wasn’t as bad as Levin but he was bad.

Totally agree. No one else comes close. Coolidge is the only other modern era Republican President that would make the top three.
Rush would claim he was being impartial and not endorsing but that was an insult to everyone’s intelligence. Rush’s bias against Trump filled the show threads. I remember at that time the only time we got relief was when Mark Steyn filled in. So Levin was ant-Trump. And Rush was, too. The worst was when Trump won a Super Tuesday or Super Tuesday type primary and he didn’t even mention it the entire show. Only mentioning this because Levin was getting slammed and Rush was being prasied for being right. They were both nevertrumping, Levin was just more blatant.

Rush’s condescending treatment of the lady called (just before the break) was disturbing. He actually laughed at her while she was making a completely reasonable point.

He and Levin both have been into trashing Trump supporters nearly all this week. It is the most recent meme of the conservative media elite. Rush laughs at them and gets this condescending tone, and Levin mocks them. The ugly is heavy in Levin these days, like I never thought possible.

I turned off Levin months ago, and might just do the same to Rush. He’s becoming the very thing he’s railed against for decades.
He’s certainly not the lion hearted warrior of the people we always thought he was.

Really? Well, if you insist this is so, please call Rush on Open Line Friday where anyone can call and talk about anything they wish and make your assertions to the man directly. I’ll be listening and look forward to you making your case directly to the man himself. I look forward to hearing that exchange.

It’s an entirely different thing to step up to the plate and swing at fastballs. Put up or go away. Call the man and call him out. I’ll be waiting to hear that exchange.
I agree during the 2016 election I had to turn BOTH Rush and Levin off they were both completely for Cruz, I just could not listen to either one of them until AFTER the election BOTH were so wrong about Trump HOWEVER in their defense I would say that half of the people on this site were dead set against Trump and said he was a flaming liberal!! BOY OH BOY all of them were dead wrong also!! It got so bad on this site half of us created our own thread where we could support Trump in peace!! Cruz would have made a GOD AWFUL POTUS sorry but he would have!!
I also believe firmly he is better than Reagan, he is a little rough around the edges but he is a fighter I will NEVER forgive Reagan for the amnesty AND no southern border THAT is when the mass illegal immigration began AND permanently changed the dynamic of our country!!!

As with any "Progressive" disease (e.g., cancer), the progressive disease must be destroyed lest it destroys you ... and so far this Progressive disease has the upper hand ... although I expect an inevitable reckoning is coming ... and coming soon.
