Here we go,
Toilet paper all over again.
Now everyone runs out and stocks up on meat and guess what, the store shelves really do go empty then.
People are the cattle.
We stocked up on meat earlier this month. A very large purchase and filled a deep-freeze. I kind of wish we had purchased more bacon now.....
We did this after our cattleman/rancher neighbor told us about how disrupted the supply chain would become in the coming months. A day later, I heard another cattleman on a radio show talking about beef prices due to disruption.
It was not a “hoarding” thing as we have plenty of food. It was a decision to save money and fill our large freezer. Regarding the supply chain, the best thing for the meat industry right now would be for people to buy it up to create demand.
