Tdhe panic over CoVid-19 caused people to social distance themselves, which certainly acted to cause a drop in ALL infectious diseases. It also contributed to LESS OUTDOOR ACCIDENTS which includes car accidents.

Out of the top causes of death in America ( heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc), none of them is infectious.
As for accidents, of course the number of accidents inside homes, especially for old folks will go up right now.

Frankly, I am surprised the death rate this year is lower than 2016 2017 and 2018.
Remember, the lockdowns started after the middle of March for the most part, so we already had two and a half months of “normal” before lockdowns started.
Then came all these big coronavirus deaths touted by the media every day. You’d have thought total deaths would be higher.
