Ehh, since nothing was available in the stores I’m using my 6 y.o. SHTF stock of hand sanitizer, bar soap, anti-bacterial wipes and hand soap.

A reasonable argument could be made for the state to come in, seize it all under the power of eminate domain, the sell at auction, use the proceeds to:

1) pay the “hoarders” a fair market value for the goods
2) pay off the cost of the raid and auction
3) pay any excess to the hoarders

These three steps would work to reduce the shortage, be within the confines of the law, and because #1 is paid first, would prevent any lawsuits as there would then be no “harm”.
