One theory is that the trend started in Australia...they get most all their TP imported from China and there was fear of supply cut-offs due to WuFlu in China. Not sure what caused the trend to jump to the USA...we import TP from Canada & Indonesia.
A lot of people have always bought more toilet paper than is needed to get through whatever period of time..I always have. It’s not a new thing. Maybe it’s because I grew up using a Sears catalog in an outhouse....HA!
