Thanks for posting. I like zerohedge. Lots of PRO/CON posters there. BUMP for wake up read with my Orwellian small/tall coffee.
On financial analysis....I would rate them as ‘above-average’ and generally correct on assumptions. Politically, it’s slanted to the right, and half their stories are absolutely factual. Their problem, if any....some of the political stories run with one single fact, several assumptions, and simply serve as a ‘suggestive’ vehicle. But there are so many of these around....that you barely notice that issue.
It’s slanted, but I wouldn’t say it’s slanted to the right. Or the left.

I didn't post this to endorse it's view, but because a lot of Freepers are interested in Zero Hedge, and there has always be some mystery behind who was doing it.
Its one of the few sites where the articles are much better than the comments which are often vile.
The articles are often interesting and original but sometimes they do have a pro Russia slant.
Like all information sites take the good and ignore the bad.

This article is a load of bullshit and here’s why:
The owner is a typical right-wing Slav with Libertarianish tendencies. Slavs of this sort are always full of doom and gloom and conspiracy thinking.
But this same Slav writes overwhelmingly Pro-Trump content, aside from the doom and gloom stuff about the stock market. Zero Hedge was anti-Trump during the actual nomination fight but has since switched to Pro-Trump. Zero Hedge has been on top of virtually every media smear on Trump and has been on our side. Zero Hedge has also been 100% blaming the Chinese for the Wuhan flu, including arguing that it was likely a biological weapon that got loose.
Genuine Russian trolls who I do believe are literally under the control of their government are saying just the opposite: that the virus was made by the USA or even the USA and the Jews (depending on what branch of trolls we’re talking about). Russian media and its proxies have also become very anti-Trump.
Russia directly and indirectly funds both extreme left wing and extreme “right wing” groups across the world. More obvious examples of these are in extreme (so called) “right” groups in Hungary that are anti-American, that are known to receive money from Moscow, but also commie groups in South America have been known to be on the Russian payroll. They have one thing in common: they hate the United States. Another example is Andrew Anglin’s Daily Stormer, which I do believe is a Russian front website, though I’ve never seen an article dirctly tracing money to them. Nevertheless, I know for a fact that prominent writers/tech people for that website are based in a former soviet country. The Daily Stormer’s articles are also, wait for it, overwhelmingly anti-Trump, and they were blaming the United States for the Flu at literally the exact same moment that confirmed Russian agents were spreading this claim.
Zero Hedge is just run by a typical Slav. He is not a Russian agent. And suing from Bulgaria is the most obvious thing a Slav of this sort would do: because he’s goofy as hell. Why would the Russian intelligence service raise attention to itself by filing a retarded suit like this? But an eccentric slav would, all day long.
That’s a lot of words expended on something well known for a long time.
Zerohedge is useful. It provides intellectual counterpoint that the East Coast Elites are incapable of perceiving.
Ya just gotta know it is also Kremlin approved, even when actually true.
I enjoy Zero Hedge. The comments there are often very funny. But...
1. It seems to have a pro-Russian slant.
2. It seems to have an anti-Semitic slant.
3. According to them, the stock market is always about to crash.
Just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.
Russia is living rent-free in The Left’s obsessed minds.
Add that to their assumption that conservatives are too dumb to filter out propaganda.

Zero Hedge has a no-racism posting policy. Yet they leave antisemitic comments up. I find that interesting.

Kinda of ridiculous since most of their views go back to love of the old Soviet Union. They are the Russian Influence.
