Better unload your GM stock. Electric cars use more energy than modern gas powered vehicles, and there is no evidence that increased CO2 levels have anything to do with rising world temperatures. To spend $$ on these is a waste of resources (and your dividends).
GM going green? Those guys only give 50K milage warranties on their sealed wheel bearings! I’ve owned chevys since 1982 and my current daily driver is a 20 yr old Suburban, BUT I can do a lot of the repairs myself and the parts are cheap. I am convinced the business model is about rental cars and 3 yr leased cars. They don’t care after year three.
