Politicians in California value the lives of illegal immigrants, drug dealers, criminals and gang members above those of hard-working taxpayers. No wonder the middle class is leaving the state in droves. Sadly, California is choking on its own insanity.
I know there are some good people in California! Make your case and vote them out. Its not that hard.
Liberals opening our doors to criminals are chumming for votes while taking all innocent citizens down the toilet with them.
The sanctuary cities are a disgrace to the country! The full force of the DOJ should come down on them and cut off all federal funds to cities and states that want their own definition of following the law. State officials who encourage these law breaking people to come to the state should be held accountable for violating their oath of office.
In 2018, California implemented the California Values Act, which limits local authorities ability to investigate illegal immigrants status and communicate with federal immigration officials.
It also gave special protection to illegal aliens by mandating that California law enforcement agencies cannot cooperate with federal immigration authorities. Last week, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) thumbed its nose at California and arrested two people in Sonoma County Superior Court.
From Courier-Journal:
SAN FRANCISCO U.S. immigration agents arrested two people at a Northern California courthouse, including a man detained in a hallway on his way to a hearing, flouting a new state law requiring a judicial warrant to make immigration arrests inside such facilities.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents made the arrests Tuesday at Sonoma County Superior Court, prompting an outcry from criminal justice and court officials who said the action undermines local authority and deters immigrants who are in the country illegally from participating in the U.S. justice system.
ICE said Californias law doesnt supersede federal law and will not govern the conduct of federal officers acting pursuant to duly-enacted laws passed by Congress that provide the authority to make administrative arrests of removable aliens inside the United States.
This is a nice move by ICE they should have done this a long time ago. The Acts entire purpose is to use the agencies of the state to prevent ICE from gaining access to people illegally in California including people who have committed crimes in California.
I think a good case could be made that California citizens ceded the right to redress wrongs committed by illegal aliens in a state court when their state government continues to ignore detainer requests from ICE. Apparently, the state government does not consider illegal aliens Federal crimes serious enough to allow prosecution of a crime committed prior to committing a crime against a citizen of the sanctuary state in question.
When theres a direct conflict between state laws and federal laws, federal laws prevail. As it has always been. This rule of law holds true at all levels; State law prevails over municipal law and so on.
There is nothing outrageous about the federal government enforcing federal law. the States have the option of challenging the law in court suing for its amendment or striking from existence.
The issue today is not one of the legitimacy of enforcement of the law; its one of Leftist Democrat Communists choosing to ignore or rewrite law at their whim.
Please share this article wherever you can. It is the only way we can work around their censorship and ensure people receive news about issues that Democrats and the mainstream media suppress.
The class war in America takes the shape of unelected bureaucrats, and local/state elected officials exceeding their authority to enact legislation that attacks citizens' rights. Everyone knows and understands that there is no such thing in law as "sanctuary". Federal officers have the power to arrest and detain anyone, anywhere.
This isn't a Victor Hugo novel about a gypsy and a hunchback.
Feel good story of the day, among many...
Good and now arrest those that interfere with those arrests.
18 U.S. Code § 3. Accessory after the fact
Whoever, knowing that an offense against the United States has been committed, receives, relieves, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment, is an accessory after the fact.
Except as otherwise expressly provided by any Act of Congress, an accessory after the fact shall be imprisoned not more than one-half the maximum term of imprisonment or (notwithstanding section 3571) fined not more than one-half the maximum fine prescribed for the punishment of the principal, or both; or if the principal is punishable by life imprisonment or death, the accessory shall be imprisoned not more than 15 years.
In the novel, the gypsy gets hung at the end. No movie version has ever reflected that.
We are a country of laws, not opinions. Time to re-establish that firmly.
Smack them upside the head if they resist.
Greyhound stations would be a logical next step.
And money transfer shops.
Arrest anybody who interferes as well.
Moo-ee-bway-know!
I think a “maximum effort” push on arrests and deportations should be made in August, September, and October.
And sanctuary policies undermine federal authority and encourage scofflaw aliens to commit more crimes.
Start now and create worry for the democrats about their future voter base showing up at polling places.
I think a maximum effort push on arrests and deportations should be made in August, September, and October.
If the states can say they don’t recognize federal law, then the feds can say the same thing and enter any city, county, or state building and enforce federal law. Afterall, their public buildings.
They should do it in all 57 states.
WINNING!!!
Great job....keep it up!!!!
Playing right into the democrats hands. If your county sheriff is no longer between you and an out of control, militarized federal agency... who is?
The dems can and will turn right around and use this to confiscate guns, imprison assenters. Whatever they want.
Remember the patriot act was for our own good too.
