She married him in a Christian ceremony outside of the Minneapolis Somali community so as to keep the marriage secret.
In fact, to keep it a secret they were married by a Christian minister named Wilecia Harris whose benefits included she didn’t know they were brother and sister.

The two were married in 2009 and later divorced in 2017. While being legally married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, Omar has publicly identified Ahmed Hirsi as her cultural husband and father of her children. Omar has refused to answer questions regarding her marriage history, calling the claims that she married her brother “disgusting lies.”
According to her limited bio on Wikipedia, Omar divorced her second husband Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2017. Ahmed Nur Said Elmi is reported to be her brother. The two were married on February 12, 2009.
Well, we can replace the word allegedly. And we can be sure that ICE will want to see Omar pay for her crimes after this revelation!

On the topic of the corruption of the Deep State, and the draining of the swamp, I understand that it is difficult to do what must be done. We all need to be patient. Many have decided that nothing will ever be done. Some of us remain hopeful and continue to be patient.
But on the topic of Omar, I am very confused. This seems like a slam dunk. It has seemed like a slam dunk for a very long time. Nothing is done. Nothing. Is she untouchable? Why? Why is there no justice at all?
She must be stripped of her office, duties and eventually citizenship and returned to that kitty litter box she loves in the Middle East.
Not only did she marry her brother to fraudulently get him a green card, she lied about her real name when she came in as a refugee.
Nobody will do anything about it.
Fake headline..ICE knows where to find her if they want.

In a sane world all parties would be jailed, then deported. But there is no justice for democrats.
I really don't get people who come here, make better lives, but then want to turn this country into the same corruption riddled, poverty stricken hell holes they escaped from. Makes no sense.

IIRC, while MoCs are protected from prosecution for crimes committed while in office, this protection doesn’t apply to crimes committed prior to taking office.
The crimes that she has commuted are pandemic in our immigrant community. Many of our legal immigrants committed crimes to get their status. Forgeries of birth certificates to change family ties and birth place/date. Fraudulent marriages to gain entry. Very common. Both occurred in my extended family. We should be using DNA testing to verify all immigration actions. Plus documents from SH countries are worthless.
Ilhan Omar is guilty of being a supporting member of terrorist organizations (Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, Hammas, PLA, Al Aksa Martyrs brigade) Hate Crimes against Americans And The Jewish people of America and the state of Israel. She is guilty of Incest, Polygamy, Tax Evasion, Immigration fraud. This ‘woman’ would be apprehended and jailed (or worse) in any other civilised country but ours. You can see how the world has been infiltrating America to try to usher in our destruction through their ‘one world’ ‘woke’ ass caliphate of evil. But we have the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob on our side. In our lifetime their ajendae and their very souls will be brought to confusion and total destruction.
She should have already resigned.
But she is probably counting on not being prosecuted, like every other govt crook.
