As a description of the House Democrats’ philosophy on their obstruction article of impeachment, Rep. Val Demings hits the nail right on the head. As an expression of just how bankrupt this argument is, it’s as good as it gets, too. Demings told the Senate that asserting legal rights and privileges in an investigation is “what guilty people do,” which should have both defense and civil-rights attorneys cringing from coast to coast.

Should, but probably won’t:

Rep. Val Demings: "The president's obstruction was unlawful and unprecedented—but it also confirmed his guilt. Innocent people don't try to hide every document and witness, especially those that could clear them. That's what guilty people do."

OK, let’s charge Biden with corruption, bribery, blackmail, etc. Then let’s charge Schiff with conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States and perjury. Then let’s charge Comey, Strzok, and the rest of the coup plotters at the FBI with insurrection. Then let’s charge Brennan with treason. Then let’s charge HRC with obstruction of justice (about 33,000 counts) and violation of the Secrecy Act (also about 33,000 counts). Finally, let’s start hearings to impeach Obama for obstruction of justice and abuse of power, and then try to convict him in the Senate (so that he’ll lose his pension).

Then let’s see which of them starts asserting their rights and insisting upon judicial review.

Phuckers! All of them want power at all costs, even to the point of destroying our judicial system and form of government, and permitting the plundering of our nation’s wealth by hoards of invaders that they have invited in. Time for justice - first at the ballot box this November, then in court.

History won’t be kind to the current Democrat Congress... Their one accomplishment, the wrongheaded and now universally condemned impeachment of a President for purely political purposes.

The sad part, it makes the former Clinton impeachment by Republicans seem much more reasonable by comparison and Clinton actually committed crimes, Trump has committed none.

The only redemption left is for them is to have two or three Democrat Senator’s vote for acquittal. Especially after Iowa.... Sanders, the left of left standard bearer is going to win, taking the Democrats farther to the left and out of touch with the American people.
