7 1965 “Help!” The Beatles
You just voted Help?
You can switch if you like. Just verify for me by replying!
I vote for “HELP” by the beatles in the tie breaker, thanks.
Yes, please switch me to Wooly Bully.
Tks
RUN-OFF FROM ROUND 2 RESULTS:
HELP! WINS! Beats Wooly Bully.
Thanks to all who helped break the tie!
Now Round 3 posted separately next.
Interesting tidbits on the survey:
-MOST VOTES - "(Sittin' on) the Dock of the Bay
-FEWEST VOTES - Honey" - its opponent!
-ALL songs got some votes; no zeroes
-several pairs were constantly neck&neck to the wire, including of course the run-off pair (I'm glad we only had 1 tie to break!)
I was rooting for “Wooly Bully.” The Beatles’ opus was OK, but Sam the Sham’s was downright boss!
That truly is amazing. I was surprised that "The Dock of the Bay" rated so high. Perhaps its perennial popularity on "Oldies" playlists is a contributing factor.
Although "Honey" got the fewest votes, Bobby Goldsboro's opus still has its fans on this board.
“Although “Honey” got the fewest votes, Bobby Goldsboro’s opus still has its fans on this board.”
Yes, yes it does! Thanks, I’ll have to tell hubby this when and if I start speaking to him again! (Off topic, but he’s being particularly annoying tonight!)
Well, DOTB probably benefitted from being up against a relatively unpopular opponent. I doubt it is truly the most favored of all those 64 songs.
Honey is good, but maybe just not quite as good.
Lord knows I have trouble with many of the matches.
I appreciate all the work you are putting into this project. It will be interesting to see which one eventually comes out on top.
Its always fun to see what happens.
Bets on the 32 remaining?
This is like the Super bowl....Im having to change my prediction every week! LOL
