I'm thinking of a cri de coeur from a priest who entered the Catholic priesthood with the hope of holiness and an honest life for God, then got waylaid by the corruption at the top, the cynicism at the bottom, the scorn from all the worldly of the world--- thought about being a saint, himself, speaking out boldly, paying up personally ---but "never got around to it".

They like my Latin turn of phrase
Doing a little catechism

I give talks on the radio
But I never give folks a scare
Don't pay much attention
To the terrible news out there
Pachamama on the altar
Must be some kind of joke
It's all confusion...

I've been thinking about it
But it seems too far to go
It'll blow over
If I keep my head down low
And there's this thing about holiness
Should I fast and scream,
say something extreme?
But I never got around to it,
N-o-o-o-o I never got around to it.

There’s a few guys that post their own songs and sometimes youtube videos on here but I can’t remember their names right now.

I could make good parodies once, probably about 10 billion brain cells ago.

And the other billions aren’t at 100 percent anymore!! :)

Great lyrics. What weird timing. I was fooling around with a c minor blues chord sequence to use as the basis of a chaconne, but suddenly a melody came out of the blue to the words of “Ave Maria”. It’s like an ear worm now.
