I read your whole post and thought you were being sarcastic. Sun comes up, sun goes down, it really doesn’t matter when I set my activities and schedule to accomadate the earth’s rotation on its axis as it goes around the sun. The activities change and when I drive with headlights changes. I’m glad you like this fall back, spring forward stuff. Me? Not so much.

I like it a lot. There is something pleasantly jarring about suddenly having it get dark around 4PM - which is what will happen tomorrow. It's a total shift of lifestyle for me. The grill is covered, the yards are winterized and actually we will likely get our first big snow in the Northeast later next week.

Then in April, we get that glorious extra hour of daylight and suddenly I'm coming home and sitting on my patio with a grilled steak and beers on ice, with plenty of daylight left.
