The idea of bringing the maligned Hummer brand back as a standalone electric-truck brand is likely to elicit quite the range of responses from longtime social- and eco-conscious car shoppers.
General Motors is seriously considering that, as part of a full-size electric-truck push that will reach its full vigor in 2024 and may bring some new life to the plant that made the Chevy Volt.
The potential product plans were reported Friday by Reuters, based on information from the UAW and multiple sources.
GM originally gave its first hint that it was considering reviving Hummer back this past June. I love Hummer, company president Mark Reuss then said, Im not sure. Were looking at everything.

This would possibly involve a Hummer revival, too, according to Reuters, citing multiple people familiar with the plans.

I loved the Hummer H3
How can you 'revive' a brand you no longer own?
I hope political correctness doesn’t lead the military to become electric vehicle only. That would seem to be a disaster in the making.
Hilarious logical follow through.
I’m a big fan of hummers.

But electric!? Sounds a bit shocking for me.
A real Hummer or a gussied up Suburban?
Maybe it’s a Hummer-Jackhammer hybrid.
GM (and the country) was better off with its workers on strike.
That reminds of the story recently about the electric police car that ran out of juice during a pursuit. Something like this would just compound the problems in the case of a military all-electric vehicle. They need tried & true technology;not something in the development stage.
I know they have got their fans but IMO this might be the only way to make a Hummer more worthless.
