The Democrat Party is the party of these "progressives" or "liberals" or "leftists," whatever the newspeak nom du jour they call themselves, and the Democrat Party is the Party of Hate, Violence, and Evil.
Calling themselves "progressive," "liberal," etc., like "antifa" ("antifascist") is Orwellian paradox or newspeak, right out of 1984, like "Love Is Hate!" "Freedom Is Slavery!" "War Is Peace!" "2 +2=5."
These people are the opposite of liberal and progressive, and their agenda is the opposite of anti-fascist.
On the contrary, they are retrogressive, intolerant, closed-minded, bigoted, brutal, and totalitarian, and they have only contempt for truth and liberty, including freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of association, and the free exchange of ideas.
And like their totalitarian and communist predecessors, they believe that the end justifies the means.
When I first read 1984, I believed it possible, but I couldn't imagine how such a nightmare could become established in the United States of America. Now I know.
Back in the 1970s, my father's brother, a brilliant and highly successful man, told me that one day the USA might go the way of the Roman Empire. I believed him but thought such a possibility remote and somewhere in the very remote future. I couldn't imagine how such a thing could possibly happen in the healthy, freedom loving USA. Now I understand. Now I know.
All the horrors of the past can return.
Orwell's nightmare can become reality.
All the rights and liberties guaranteed by the US Constitution can be revoked.
