Long-time captain Derek Jeter always said it was World Series or bust for the New York Yankees, and Aaron Judge is following in his footsteps.
Its a failure, Judge told The Post after the Yankees season-ending 6-4 loss to the Astros in Game 6 of the ALCS on Saturday night in Houston. We talked about winning the division and winning the World Series.
No matter how many games we won during the regular season it is a failure.

Kinda the way I feel about my Dodgers.
The Yankees are crybabies.
New York is so full of themselves.
Bums.
At one time maybe, but now just a bunch of hanger ons.
Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander head to head Tuesday night.
In Detroit Rock City, and I’ll be watching.
It’s an old cliche, but true, that anything can happen in a short series.
The Yankees had a great season, winning 103 games in the regular season.
The playoffs are always a crap shoot.
This is the first decade since the 1910s, that the Yankees have not been in a World Series during any given decade.
Dodgers crashed, Yankees crashed—double good. I look at the management and say tough crap. I could not be happier since “magic” Johnson took part ownership of the Dodgers and they crashed. Just deserts is in play here. Magic bragged about all the women he bedded, got AIDS and has “proudly” supported his cross-dressing son. I have no sympathy.
Dear Aaron,
I’m a Cardinals fan. Welcome to my world.

The Bronx
Woooo!
The Bronx
Super tough guys!
...who voted for AOC.
Pussies!
America wants a Yankees-Dodgers World Series one day again.
Hasn’t happened since 1981.
Steinbrenner (RIP): Nice to meet you.
Costanza: I wish I could say the same.
(I’d have to look to see who played Steinbrenner in that one)
Magic is a good man.
I see a LAD-NYY series one day.
103 win ‘hangers on’. Yeah right. One of the two best teams all year with the Astros. No one else was even remotely close.
I thought Gerrit Cole is pitching game 1 for the Astros.
Unless it changed?
BG#1: "So, this fellow Judge speaks of failure, does he? He knows nothing of failure!"
BG#2: "Yea, verily he knows nothing. And he shall pay. TRADE HIM TO THE MARINERS!"
(More thunder as the Baseball Gods laugh maniacally...)
I’m a Yankees fan. It’s a miracle they won 90 games, let alone 103. If you followed this team you saw a bunch of overachievers and a lot of injuries. Never did they have the requisite starting pitching to beat an elite team like the Astros.
I wonder if we will ever see any team tie or break the Yankees record, of five world series championships in a row. With additional layers of playoffs nowadays, it becomes harder to win multiple playoff series in a row, to be in position to win the World Series.
There are other issues too, such as players leaving for free agency, salary cap issues, which ties into not being able to keep the core group of players together for multiple season playoff runs.
Tigers were dead and buried long ago, Detroit Mock City.
The baseball powers that be, probably wanted Yankees/Dodgers for higher TV ratings.
Hangin’ on to the great history of the Yankees...
From 100 years ago!
Stuck in the past.
Houston smoked your smug ass.
New York is just another city.
It ain’t nothing special.
The Astros had the best record at 107 wins in the regular season and beat the Yankees as well, so it would be expected that they would win the ALCS.
