Collins: Schiff wants interviews kept secret because Dems ‘can’t win this in the public eye’

House committees are expected to continue their series of closed-door transcribed interviews as part of their impeachment-related investigation of President Trump this week, and Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga. claims the secrecy is due to the Democratic majority not wanting the public to know that the testimony does not support their narrative.

Earlier this month, former U.S. Special Envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker, Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson and former U.S. envoy to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch went before Democrat-led committees to face questions about President Trump and whether he pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky into helping investigate Joe and Hunter Biden. Both sessions took place in closed-door settings. U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland is re-scheduled for this Thursday after his previous appearance was shut down by Trump.

“They said we can’t win this in the pyblic eye, so we’re going to take it behind closed doors,” Collins said about Democrats on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Collins specifically called out House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., accusing him of controlling the narrative by keeping proceedings under wraps and selectively leaking information.

“And so, in the last few days, they have taken it behind closed doors, and Adam Schiff -- who has trouble telling the truth, much less spelling it, but he’s a very good leaker,” Collins said, “so what they did is take it behind closed doors, have testimony that I’ve heard from folks who were in the room that said these transcripts should be released completely because they defeat the entire narrative, but as long as he can keep it behind closed doors, then they leak out to the American people only what they want to leak out and this is why you have seen this progression at this point.”

More or less correct.

If you bring the guy in, he’ll face more than two hours of time with the Republican members of the committee, and his argument will fall apart.

Just asking him to explain HUMINT collection aspects of this, why you would collect against your own government, and then the CIA method of intelligence source and information reliability ‘grading’.....he will do dismally.

But it would not surprise me if a intelligence collection ‘crime’ is taken up by the DoJ, and this guy gets dragged into a Grand Jury room to explain things under oath.

Rep. Collins should wise up and start playing this game the way President Trump would.

1. Compile a list of outlandish lies about the questions Democrats are asking these witnesses.

2. Compile a list of lies about the answers these witnesses are giving.

3. "Leak" these fabrications to the media.

4. The Democrats will have no choice but to do one of two things: (A) release the full transcripts of the interviews to combat the disinformation campaign; or (B) watch their poll numbers collapse.

I hope those who do submit to "interrogation" realize that they are putting themselves in jeapordy because their testimony will be subject to Senate interrogation.

AND it is a crime to lie to Congress whether under oath or not.

So it's all going to be in the questions.

“This needs to be secret because if it were in public we would lose and look like power hungry, greedy jealous idiots doing so, and I don’t want to lose or look like a power hungry greedy, jealous idiot.” ~ Schiff, probably, given truth serum

Adam Schiff needs to face peoples’ justice. He is an enemy coup plotter and the DOJ will never hold him accountable. The same can be said about the enemies in the executive agencies. There will be no indictments and there will only be justice if American pastriots rise up, try and executive these enemies within.

BS! BS! BS!

This is high treason - using secret courts to depose a constitutionally elected leader who can’t defend himself from the accusations or have due process to contest the alleged witnesses

In a FREE country you hold this data gathering in the open so the people can view and see the process. Only in third world banana republics do you see this treasonous behavior.

Schiff needs to resign immediately or be forced from office - no other recourse.

Of course. The Democrats can't succeed at anything without cheating. That's why they champion voter fraud, illegal immigration, the suppression of free speech, etc. If they were honest, they would have been kicked into the trash pile of history long ago. Does anybody really think the Democrats would come forward and say, "Yes, we're the Party of Hate, Violence, and Evil"?

The Senate should open its own investigation into the investigation … and every witness who is called to testify privately for the Democrats should be subpoenaed to testify publicly and under oath before the Senate committee, with full cross examination. The very next day.

What they are doing is unacceptable. Private impeachment? Nope. Put up or shut up. This will not stand.

What they don’t want is every “witness” being subject to cross examination in the public eye on their own corruption - and they are all corrupt. Every! Last! One! Of! Them!.
